It is best to have at least one pair of long pants and shirt.
Some factories require it when onsite, mostly hazmat locations. Also "closed toed" shoes are required on most docks.
Get some clothes you can put in the dryer. You don't want to wear "really" good clothes in trucking. There is a good chance they will get dirty and stained.

Thanks for all the tips. I found some laundry soap that comes in small load sized "bubbles". Just drop it in the machine! Being as I am only out 14 days at a time I just need to bring 3 of those bubbles per trip. Expensive but worth it.

I always recommend purex laundry sheets.
They are not liquid so no spills, ever. It starts as a detergent, then a fabric softener, then goes right into the drier with the clothes as an anti-static sheet.

rifraf: For the first 2 runs I will be slip seating so no room for more clothes. We will have our 34 hour reset and do laundry at that time. When I am running single it will be different. Bruce

I never do laundry on the road. I just start turning stuff inside out.

Will be getting into the industry shortly. Was wondering if anyone can tell me if the machines leaving your clothes smell like diesel or grease is an issue.

CAXPT Thanks this.
