I can get runs close to Bama. I dont normally get runs into Bama, but I dont go back to the house much neither. (By choice) Prime doesnt have dedicated much. We do have a dedicated account for Cat out of Wamego Kansas. Only regional Flatbed has is Texas Regional. I run in the Flatbed Division, thats what I know the most about. Til I switched we didnt have any flatbedders on the board...
-
oh ok!!! i start with prime in august was going 2 the flatbed division but changed my mind! switched 2 reefer! did u do ur training with them?
-
Did PSD n TNT on the reefer side, then switched over to FB. Couldnt stand reefer, just how I am.

Hey bigcheese, are you still working for Prime or did you go somewhere else?

No worse than sections of any of the interstates. Or the entire LA metro area. What's the matter, can't deal?BigCheese said: ↑1)The I-95 corridor all the time.Click to expand...
Not my favorite place, but hey! It's a local job.2)Getting stuck pulling out of Lewiston DC for daysClick to expand...
You really think that they intentionally station 20% of the fleet in an area that always has a high truck to load ratio?3)Having 1000+ trucks to compete with for loads that are already waiting for loads in the North East.Click to expand...
Sorry... never been dispatched out of Pittston.4)Being dispatched out of Pittston where the FM's have more trucks assigned to them then they can handle...Click to expand...
That's generally the case across the system....and a pre=plan is almost non-existant.Click to expand...
Only if you live up this way. BC, I don't have a problem with you - you don't like Prime, that's obvious. I don't have a problem pulling freight for them - I could care less if people don't like the company. I do care when they intentionally start spreading false information around, and I'll call anyone out on that. I do have a problem with people who have a rather excellent opinion of themselves as truckers, but can't deal with the job. Driving in the northeast is just part of the mix, as is dealing with I95. My personal solution to I95 is to avoid certain sections of it.But you do have a chance to get home more often.Click to expand...
Just because someone asks a question doesn't mean any one of us has to answer it in its entirety. As to the other post you seem to have a problem with, I was trying to provoke a little discussion on another subject. I said nothing about anyone's negative opinion on Prime. But if you want to debate the subject, feel free to start a "Bad Company" thread. Have at it, and enjoy.
And by the way, I don't appreciate people who spread lies about me. I don't "recruit," and have never tried to.Last edited: Jun 30, 2012

IE.... name, Truck # and info needed to put on our apps so you could get credit for us. He still drives for Prime as a lease op and I won't mention his handle on here but was told I could if called out on it again.
Sure I can deal with the traffic on the 95 corridor and anywhere else for that matter. I was just answering his question to a disadvantage of the job.
You keep saying I don't like Prime. That's not true!!! I think prime is a great Training company and I would and do recommend them to anyone that asks my opinion. I haven't bashed them intentionally on here or outside of this Forum.
What I do say, and will continue to say is the Truth. They are a training company with way to many trucks per Fleet Mgr and unless you don't mind sitting for hours or somtimes days waiting to be loaded or unloaded wasting precious hours or days away from home. Then this is the company for you to stay with.
But if you would rather be productive while being away from home making miles and more money you would get the training and time you need to get on with a smaller more driver friendly company.Click to expand...Click to expand...
