Big Blue you are correct Pre Hire is a step to determine your qualified to attend orentation nothing more.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought this was the place to report a bad experience with a company.

That being said, I have nothing in my past that would prevent me from being hired. No tickets, accidents, felonies, convictions, etc Otherwise the school would have disqualified me from attending, and I wouldn't be here trying to find advise on companies to work for.

My bad, I thought you were complaining about not being hired on by USX and that they wasted your time. Did not see any company you are wanting info on yet

Then was told I wasn't hired The reason being I have no clue, and honestly could care less except for the fact that I made a useless trip to Medway OH to their nasty terminal,

Really, no clue? They just up and told you they would not hire you for absolutely no reason? Not likely. From your OP it sounds like they made the right decision though, right?

Geeee I didn't know you were the message board scout on who posts what or when but just to satisify your curosity I did post asking for info on companies I do believe this is in the new drivers question's section message board scoutmaster, maybe you should read up before you shot your mouth off.

Geee sparky If there was something in the PRESENT I wouldn't have been PRE HIRED DUH., Most companies go back 3- 5 yrs for tickets, suspension and criminal activities.... Good Lord!!

OH my did I hit a US Xpress nerve pally??? I did everything I was asked and suppose to, they told the class that the money for orentation would be on their cards everyone except me, and when they said this I split, I will not play peek a boo with a bunch of rude ### people for a job...

I was hopping you would be able to understand the meaning behind the statement.(was trying to be diplomatic about it). Guess it went over your head.

Step back and read your original post and ask yourself if you would hire that person if you were the one in charge of making the decision.

I will not say you won't make it as a driver some were. But the odd are against you as far as the 3 companies you have mentioned. You just ain't cut out for the meat grinders pal. Good luck!

Smurf that may the case for some schools for the pre hire, but I paid for my own schooling and filed application and received the pre hire a week after being in school.. I don't think funding has anything to do with pre hire because I have put in a few apps since coming back from us express and am waiting for more pre hire's. Actually I got pre hired with Swift and Falcon today, and waiting for another company to get back with me.

Tuesday a guy from my orentation group was escorted out of the building for absolutely nothing. The guy was standing in hall during one of the breaks they give you, talking to another guy and the person conduting orentation ear jacked his conversation with the guy, and put his 2 cents into the conversation, and the student told him it was a private conversation , and told him that he was asking him politely to stay out of it, and that really pissed the orentation guy off, so when we went back into the class room, the student was telling us what the orent guy did, this ####### went across the hall, and came back with security and had the student escorted out of building...and we were like what the hell?? Oh yeah these screw balls care alright!!

I'm sorry but this sounds like nothing but lies. I went through USX orientation a Tunnel Hill. 2 people (out of almost 40) were sent home. I talked to the two that were sent home...one lied on their application and the other failed the drug test.

USX isn't going to waste their money to pay for your bus ticket and pay for your hotel room and pay for your lunch to turn around and send you home for no good reason. It just wouldn't make good business sense.

however if you try to go through WIA or PEL for your funding. you MUST have a pre-hire from a company before you can attend school. you don't have to work for that company when you finish school nor does that company have to hire you. the government WILL NOT pay for you to go to school if you cannot get a job when you finish. this is why they require the pre-hire first.

You can sit there all you want and say a pre-hire isn't required. I know that USX does PRE-HIRE people regardless. I too went to and paid for a private school. I was "pre-hired" before going to orientation. So yes, US Xpress DOES pre-hire
