Roehl vs. TMC

no you can take your truck home and yes they are very selective wich i think is great that way they have the best drivers in their fleet

 

Yeah, every week they have classes full of the best drivers for their fleet. And next week they will have another class full of the best drivers for their fleet.

 

yep well said jumbo i thought about tmc but they been not getting there drivers home on the weekends if your down south look up mcelroy or maverick 2 very good carriers and don't lie as bad and thats my 1 cent worth

 

First, thank you for your service. The advantage in driving for Roehl over TMC is that Roehl has flats as well as dry van and reefers. If you try flats and don't like it with Roehl you could switch fleets. TMC your out of luck. TMC has better equipment overall. I usually tell newbies to hire onto a large company out of the gate and then try as much different stuff as you can to see what strikes your fancy. I started with Swift and ran flats, double flats, vans and doubles, containers out of the port and reefers. Then when I switched companies I could go anywhere I wanted because I had experience with everything. Tankers I was never really interested in. Also, I joined Swift after I got out of the military and graduated from college. Companies love ex-military because of the work ethic and that former military are used to being away from home. Roehl does appreciate military and does stuff for them. Not sure about TMC.

Roehl has a military program also. Roehl might be a good start to learn the ropes and decide what kind of trailer you want to pull. If you dont like flats you can go to vans or reefers and if you do like pulling a flat you can move up to their "Specialized" division. If you dont like Roehl and want to jump to TMC I am sure they will still be hiring.
