Ok, heres the way I see it, tech is expanding at a rapid rate today and is going to take a learning curve, even with mechanics. The company I am leased on with has 2009 Pete's with ISX's, no problems for 250,000 to 300,000 mls. Then lot's of issues with egr and dpf with out much help from Cummins for several months. They got a hold of a good Cummins mechanic and he told them how to clean the seventh injector, since then 0 issues at all and they are pretty content with the engine. Have a friend with a 2009 Volvo D13, he was told from day one to clean the seventh injector every 50,000 mls, now at over 500,000 he has just recently had to do minor maint. to his dpf system. I believe SCR is better technology, but a truck with dpf can still be a productive truck with proper maint. Thing's change, we adapt, all's good.

The regen units on the 2008 trucks have been a big problem with that year trucks too.
