The reason for posting a retraction is simple I was wrong and my comments were inaccurate concerning JOHNSRUD TRANSPORT like I said I was pissed off at myself for getting fired for not following the rules and took out my fustrations out on the company that was nothing but good to me while I worked there. No one theretened to sue me or anything like that, bottom line is I was WRONG period. We all make mistakes and say things we shouldn't and I don't want other drivers that are looking for a good company to work for be mislead by the statements I made in 4/2010 because honestly your not going to find a better company to work for than JOHNSRUD TRANSPORT.

I drove for johnsrud transport for 3 years 06-09 busted my but for this company and in the end they really screwed me over. Dispatch will consistently dispatch you on loads that cannot be logged legally one example, they get you loaded 11:00 am cst in des moines and want you to be in willard ohio to deliver at 7:00 am est the next day impossible to log legally and they have 3 loads a week that go into this customer. if you complain dispatch will cut your hours for the week or make you sit alot. The owner of the company Leon Johnsrud has retired and his daughter Jackie is completely clueless on what dispatch is having drivers do. Friends of mine are still telling me that they have to falsify logs all the time with this company, and with CSA2010 comming alot of johnsrud drivers are not happy with the way this company opperates. In my case I was dispatched on a load to canada and didn't have the hours to get the load to the customer on time, I told dispatch and was told I was the only driver available to do the load and that I would have to take it so I called the safety director and was told pretty much the same thing and he added that if ran out of hours ( on my 70) that I would have to reset in canada. This customer required a 6 hour test be done on the sample, dispatch told me I could log the test time as off duty wich i did that left me time to get home after i was unloaded ( this was a friday) well on monday they brought me into des moines and i was terminated for what safty called falsifying my logs for logging the 6 hrs off duty. safety said it should of been logged as on duty not driving. so not only did they terminate me unjustly wich the Iowa dept of unemployment agreed and gave me unemployment but they also gave me a bad DAC report wich has made it almost impossible to get another job. I hauled gas for 8 years before johnsrud with no problems I have a clean driving record with no accidents and because of the DAC report i can't get another job the whole situation is crazy. So if anyone is thinking about working for them be careful cause they will stick it to you in the end. and if you want to talk to some current drivers email me and i will get you in contact with them. if anyone can give me some advice on what to do about my DAC I would appreciate it.
