I have been looking at these bypass filtratration systems, and was glad to hear from someone who is using one. You, know there is a lot of "snake oil" on the market these days, makes one kinda cautious.

My husband has switched our truck to the Amsoil system, and is happy with it. He put the bypass filter's as well as using thier long lasting filters, and the synthetic oil. He really likes that he does not have to do the oil changes often anymore, and the truck seems to have picked up a bit of power. We can draw an oil analysis anytime we want to and send it in to amsoil, they will fax back a report.

He does the PM's himself, like someone else mentioned, it is extremely hard to find an honest shop around! I think we have been very successful in finding the shops that are out to screw you:biggrin_25513:

believe me...i have the knowledge to change my own oil ( i am still....until november10th) an ASE master certified mechanic in heavy truck

i have my oil changed....only with shops i trust...

when i do try a new one...i closely inspect...if not to my satisfaction....the maneger WILL hear about it and i wil no longer use that shop for any thing let alone reccomend them

theres a oil shop next to the TA in housten i like....just never there...and of course my local shop who know that i know a thing or two...and they always go the extra mile
