I went back to Swift from Trans Am and I'm already sick of these idiots.

After several weeks of only averaging 20 something cpm profit at Trans Am and being left stuck at one location for several days by them, I thought it would be a smarter move to head back to Swift seeing as how my first experience was okay enough to warrant sticking around for a year and eight.

    Not.

My first real paycheck didn't give me enough to clear rent. I was down for several days for a broken A/C, for which I never saw breakdown pay, and now my A/C is blowing hot again not even a week after it came out of the shop.

At least at Trans Am I kept cool. I don't know if they'll take me back, but my final settlement is negative two cents. Ooh! I've been offered a driving position at Celadon. I might just take them on their offer.

All 3 have a reputation of sucking out loud. Since you are now job hopping you need to pick one, stay there for a year then find something better.

Find something close to home. The owner of this company I work for demands all air conditioners work. If it doesn't work, pull it around back and they either fix it, or you get another truck period. Their is no haggling with dispatchers. They are pretty cool too.

Surprised with your experience that Swift was even on the radar, simple research on here will tell you who the good companies are.

You thought Swift wanted you? They have so many students with stars in their eyes, they don't care about you. Find you a company that is more down to earth and has a good reputation.

Lol! I haven't had ac for 2 years..its all over but the crying...I think people use this site to whine like lil baby's ....are a man or a mouse?

I read a story of a trucker in 1930 who had to strap a wooden block to his fuel pedal why?because his floorpan would get so hot during the summer...his boot sole would start melting to the floor....

And we're well past the 1930s, as well. If you don't want to get something fixed which could be fixed, then you have fun with that. If you think it somehow makes you a better driver, or a bigger man, or whatever the hell else you think it's going to do for you, then you go ahead and roll with that notion, tough guy. And keep thinking we're going to be somehow impressed, while you're at it.
