After you sit in that hotel room for 13 days tell me then how much you like it.
Been there and done that. -
BLUE call me.
-
Blue, they should of got you another truck after 4 days. Hope things are better. This place is military friendly once you get your year.

Don't you just love when you get to your consignee on time and you check in and they tell you your appointment isn't till 1500 but your dispatch messages say 0700? Especially when you have only got 900 miles in the past 4 days. Delivered Monday morning in Chicago, then up to t/a truck stop in Hampshire and wait 4 hours for a pre plan. d/h to Darien, Wi and takes em 4 hours to load me. Drive to Beloit, Wi and scale this load and park for the night.
Get going down the road next morning and dm calls and says they want to drop this load in Gary since they rescheduled delivery time. Drop this load in Gary at 1330 and get a pre plan to grab empty reefer and d/h up to Darien again for another load. Told them would not make 1500 pickup on time but was told to do it anyway. Got to shipper at 1630 due to Chicago traffic and finally get loaded at 2030 wih enough time left to get to Beloit to scale and take 10hour break. Drove most of day yesterday then up early this morning to finish drive in here to Rogers, Arkansas and am told my delivery isn't scheduled till 1500 and this was at 0630 this morning.
Well that is the end of my rant, just sitting here now idling away trying to keep cool. On positive note though I am starting orientation in a couple weeks for a different carrier doing flatbed, so my time here is about up anyway. -
You're a rolling cold storage facility for the shipper at May most of the time unfortunately. Try asking for detention since you showed up at the 0700 appt time on the dispatch and see what happens
platinum Thanks this. -
Btw, I hope you're not going to flatbed for Western Express...
-
Agreed, what scooter said. Good luck, how is living in pueblo? I have a friend moving to that area soon.
-
Pueblo is not to bad, really really hot right now, winter is usually 50s to 60s with a few really cold days and snow once and a while. Lots of outdoor stuff to do, but the jobs market down there leaves a lot to be desired, but there is work available. Nope not going western express, gonna start flatbed over at Melton, gonna be a decent increase in cpm plus better benefits, apu, get to take truck home, and guaranteed home for Christmas day

Good choice and good luck. My friends wife is a Army captain and he is a lawyer. They will do just fine.
