How hard is it to get ahold of the 6NZ file? I have someone that can flash it, I just want the stock 550 6NZ file.

Its pretty easy if you know the right people. I'm just trying to figure out if you know someone who can flash it, why don't they have the file already?

You're absolutely right. I misunderstood him he has files. he just needed the file name that would best work. I was under the impression that any 550 6NZ flash would work on the bridge/MBN ECM but he says some are better then others. So if I may redo my question. which flash file would be best suited. And should I mess with the trim codes or leave them till I manage to afford the new turbo? If so which should I use? I currently am running the fuel temp mod and an air pressure regulator on my boost sensor as well as a restrictor on my wastegate line. Once I flash Ill only keep the fuel temp (so very impressed with that one)

Use the oldest 550hp 6NZ file he has and if you want little extra power use a brakesaver file. I wouldn't recommend you change the trim codes, ever new turbo or not.

    NoLuckCanuck Thanks this.

The MBN ECM limits what file you can use. The part number of the ECM is 240-5303 which isn't compatible with the old 6NZ files. Use any file that is for a 6NZ53999 or lower serial number, but has a newer release date for the best programming in the file. The injection timing or emissions won't change from a file written in 2002 to one written recently with these files. The changes in the files during this time frame have to deal with diagnostics and communication between the laptop and the trucks other computers, not emissions.

it's a cat file with the cat brakesaver program in it. it's cat's engine brake that works off the back of engine with the engine oil. like a hydraulic pump but it puts drag on the drive line with pressure as you pull the lever down.the program is setup with alittle more hp than normal programs.
