cliochannel: First of all Maple Leaf Foods is not Loblaws. No connection between them. I would not lie in pig manure but what about the pig trucks that are crossing all over North America. If they enter a truck stop does the manure get on the ground? We better stay off the interstates as well. Sounds like someone has an axe to grind. If that manure was as toxic as you claim the entire rural population would be dying!!

What do you give pig that has a sore nose ?
A - Oink-ment ! -
Do a search of the OP's posts. Most have one of the following in the post: My cousin said, a friend said. Apparently. Some one told me. Never any first hand info. I would disregard anything that person has written . Never any real names or links to something factual.

After a few too many beers a man walks up to his wife with a sheep under his arm, "this is the pig I have been porking" he says. "you drunk idiot, that's a sheep!" she says. "I was talking to the sheep" he says.

That's what happens when you do nothing but sit around all day reading drivel on the internet.

Had an interesting chat with a couple of medical specialists on the issue. As they mentioned, unless someone wanders into their doctor, and asks to be checked out to see if exposure has allowed any interesting pathogens to set up home, folks could be harboring stuff and not know it. High incidence of some stuff in hog farmers according to research so they say. One thing they mentioned that scares the heck out of them in terms of "factory" hog production etc.and folks working in that industry is something called ST398. It can infect humans and is becoming antibiotic resistant. Hell when it gets loose in a hospital-they call it MRSA.
