Anybody had any experience driving/owning HINO straight trucks? If so please give me your opinion and experience with the brand. I'm a Toyota guy so I'm kind of leaning towards purchasing one.

Hinos are great for what they were designed for - local delivery . A few expediters have tried them and they lack the power and comfort needed for an OTR truck

Total garbage truck for OTR.

I drove one year and years ago for local deliveries. It was fine for that kind of work, never had a problem with it.

HINO Trucks won the JD Powers award for quality 3 years. We have a rental fleet of Hino Trucks and they are very reliable.

Hino are very popular here as construction trucks , they are simple, very reliable, have good ground clearance , they have nothing to break on them but don't expect much in the way of comfort !

I drove a Hino straight truck for 2 years and never had any major issues. They're a pretty good truck

Back in 1991, I drove a Hino, with a turbo V-6 diesel and a euro 10 spd, hauling water in a collapsible bladder, in Saudi Arabia. Made about 2-3 loads a day, a couple of hours each way. It ran like a sports car and rode and handled pretty well too.
