Hey everyone I know when I was deciding on starting my career in trucking I searched these types of sites for info. I will try to add updates as I go through the company training process and get on the road as a 1st seat driver. I have already been through a great school in Asheboro NC and obtained my CDL. This week we are in Arkansas to start the companies training phase.

Ok everyone 2 days into orientation and things are as you would expect. There was plenty of paperwork and the company training is similar to school. along with some of the quick basics they teach the qualcom system, maps, and presentations from all the different dept. about what they do and how they can help. So far everyone seems nice and no one is pushing anything on us. tomorrow we start some range time. just an fyi there website is a bit behind. they are actually reverting back to 10 speed manual transmissions.

Hey everyone. Its Friday and orientation is completed we have been assigned trainers and will be leaving tomorrow for the terminal to meet them. Orientation is fairly easy other than learning about some of the more advanced aspects of trucking like Dot inspections and CSA, and company policies, you will get some time to practice backing and setting up on there courses. You will get literally ten miles of drive time this week just so they can see your capable. overall its a good course and i cant wait to get on the road. At this point guys they have spent almost ten grand or more on you. they want you to be successful so they can make money on you. So if you are considering this do yourselves a favor and make sure you want to. otherwise its a big debt for you and a waste of time and money for them. so far I like PAM. they have not yet lied to me and seem genuine in wanting u to make it. everyone is really nice as well

No problem. PAM seems like a really good starter company so far there oldest trucks are 2008 freightliner and international pro stars. they are swithching back to 10 speed manuals too. they claim good miles as long as you are willing to run but i wont swear to it til i get out there.
