There is really no reason to say anything else because no amount of arguments and facts will change ignorance. There is nothing inherently better about elogs or paper. The fact is elog just makes driving more efficient for both driver and co. which turns into more miles and more money most of the time. Everything else is unimportant.

huh? there is not a qualcom,no elog,no gps, no nothing in my truck.how is anyone other than myself going to know where i am? Not all trucks/drivers operate under the constraints of electronic monitoring. my older cell phone does not even have a gps in it.i do,infrequently, tell another driver my approximate location if i give them a radio check.

oh i know.my radar detector is gps equipped.lets me know where red light cameras are and nullifies what little falsing that it does after it alerts on that false.it is the best escort offers but it is not linked up to the outfit i pull for.i am perplexed as i don't like anyone knowing when i start and stop and idle and drive out of the way to get fuel and/or a shower.I'll check truck over for bugging devices.

just a little sarcasm.sorry.but i do wonder about your remark.

Same as my 28 year old truck. Unless someone comes up with an EOBR to work with a mechanical engine, I've heard there is one company working on one, it will be outlawed unless you drop in an electronic engine. I have an N14 Celect Plus setting in the shop, waiting to be rebuilt and dropped in, in place of my old Big Cam III.

okay in that specific terminology,i am unable to disagree.mine is not a smartphone and/or whatever the ones are w/all the gadgetry.I just don't think those i pull for follow my cell signal to determine my movement or lack thereof.

valid point though and duely noted-
