My husband, a truck driver, has had issues with kidney stones. The next to the last bout landed him in three different hospitals. Started on a Thursday in July. He was in Youngstown, PA. Had an ambulance take him to the hospital. They gave him pills, told him to drink plenty of water and sent him on his way. He was home, Michigan, over the weekend and felt great, figured they were gone. The following Tuesday he was in Ohio and drove himself, in the big truck, to the hospital. More pills, drink water, sent him on his way. He called his company, told them he was going home. Took him 8 hours to drive what should have been 3 hours. Everytime he got feeling sick he pulled over and slept. Got home Tueday night. Decided we would wait for his Dr's office to open on Wednesday to call to get him in. At 3 in the morning he couldn't take the pain any more. Took him to the ER and had him amitted. Thursday night they did surgey. He had 5 stones in his right kidney. Two weeks later he was back in an ER in Ohio. What the surgeon didn't tell him was that he had 3 in his left kidney. They passed, but a nurse in the hospital told him that too much tea and leafy greens can increase the chances of getting stones once you have had them. He used to drink a ton of tea to keep hydrated. Now he does juices and water, lots of water. If you ever get kidney stones, good luck with it.

I know this post is over a year old but I can tell without a doubt that pure coconut water will get rid of a kidney stone and help keep new ones from forming. But remember PURE young green coconut water. It's the absolute best thing you can put into your body.

I have had them several times. They are painful. Fortunately I was able to pass them and recovered one that I pissed out. The doctor had it analyzed. This is due to the fact that there are several types of stones. Each type requires a different change to your diet to minimize them. My doctor told me that the majority of people will have stones at some point in there life and most people pass them with little or no pain because the stones are microscopic. Unfortunately we have to deal with the larger stones. Now I need a sleeper with a restroom in it because I drink so much fluids that I have to pee every couple of hours.

Been a VERY and I mean a VERY bad year so far for me with the Gravel Pit aka my Kidneys. Passed 5 in the last week alone biggest was only 6 MM around. However 3 weeks ago I ended up on the floor in PAIN SCREAMING so bad my wife got woke up from a DEAD SLEEP. Why called the 14 MM one I passed. Doc ordered a Kidney Function Test and my Kidneys are do OK but my Med is cranking up the amount of Stones they are creating since I had another anti Siezure Med thrown into the mix this year. I hate SUMMER with a Passion. I told my wife I am going to get that Large one Gold Plated and use it as a stone in a Ring. Why as much pain as the SUCKER caused I might as well SHOW THE SUCKER OFF.
