I doubt it. Crete does still book the very rare load to California, and gliders with pre-emissions engines aren't legal there, as far as I've been able to determine.

Thought I was back on track today after sitting on that load over the weekend......NOT. I deliver this morning and and wait an hr for a preplan and I get a nice run 713 miles the only problem is that it delivers in exactly 4.5 hrs from the time I receive the preplan. My response back was Sorry.... rocket boosters are not working. So they cancel that preplan and preplan me on a 560 mile run that delivers in 5.75 hrs. I replied back Look Here...No more nonsense. Bunch of idiots up there...I finally get a load that delivers in the morning and What happens 200 MILES DOWN THE ROAD ?....POWWWW, trl tire blows so here I wait for brk dwn to send somebody out here, dang thing curled the mudflap bar pretty good.

Finally made it to Lincoln. Sit around till 6 for them to decide my truck won't get in the shop. So off to the hotel. Good news is it's no longer the musty ol Days Inn. It's now the Holiday Inn downtown! Pretty nice place but as usual my luck continues. Getting out of the shuttle van my back pocket snags a hook on the folded up rear seat and....you guessed it...ripped my shorts clear down to the bottom of the leg...haha Can't win this week. The driver took me all the way back to the yard so I could grab another pair of shorts from the truck.
EDIT: I received an email from Crete... a recruitment email...haha -
Age of the engine determines legal in cally, and the cut off is 20 years old. Only place that is stricter are the ports of LA and long beach. There. One must have a dpf

Too funny Joe. At least the shuttle driver was willing to take you back! Hope they can pull your butt out of the breeze and into a functioning truck sooner than later.Last edited: Jul 10, 2012

I'm in orientation right now, waiting on my trainer. I was told here at the terminal that Crete may have to do away with the sleep study, because the government wants to ban carriers from forcing it on drivers. Some of the agility tests may be done away with too.

If in Lincoln, I was the guy in the front seat of the shuttle van.
Well my luck continues... I got my truck out of the shop right as a guy was pulling a trlr out of inspection so I asked if I could have the trlr and he was glad to get rid of it. I was thinking what luck! I hooked up, sent in ready call, updated hours and got a preplan. It took all of 45 minutes to get a load and all of this time the truck was running and the A/C was making my nipples hard it was so cold. Go over to the shipper in Lincoln get all hooked up, loaded call and heading out of the guard shack. Started my truck and a puff of smoke (mist) blew out of the pass. side fender area. Yep.....A/C out again!!! Blew a hose right there....five miles from the terminal. I go back in and the service writer had a puzzled look on his face. Anyway they were at shift change so the mechanic coming on duty was told to get my truck in and get it fixed ASAP. Oh well better it to blow here then down the road somewhere. -
No, NK, PA terminal.
