Good luck to you machinehead. Let us know where you go and how you make out. I would consider Maverick but they are just outside of me for a hiring area. If my DOT is OK I am off to Roehl in WI as of 11/26. I intend to keep this board posted as to my experiences.

Well my truck is down at freightliner waiting for a part to come in.I am siting at the house I should be outside putting up the dreaded Christmas decorations but I ain't. It is just to early for all that.
They told me this morning that I would be getting a new fleet manager this week. This is going to be a thin week when it comes to miles will see how bad it hurts my paycheck since I came home empty.I am really missing being in the truck I know that probably sounds odd but it is true.
The antenna on my truck is just a whip antenna that is built into the mirror.Guess that is about it better drag my butt outside and start hanging lights (blah)Later -
As for the Christmas decorations..... well since we gave up our house, we'll have to hang some lights and a wreath on our Freighliner when we get it and call it a holiday LOL. I figure a big wreath on the grill with some led lights will look pretty cool. -

Well it certainly didn't take me long to have an accident.I bent the tarp box doors on my trailer it was my own #### fault I wasn't paying attention and making a turn out the gate thinking about where I was going to drop this trailer and the fence up and bit me.Never turn the truck without watching your mirror.I knew better than that and I just got careless so after pictures and call to the safety people and a dozen pictures of every angle I was on my way 6 hours later ARRRRGH.
The weather is starting to change up north so I am running my truck at night. I cant tolerate being cold and trying to sleep.I went and bought a carbon monoxide alarm for the truck. I mounted it in the bunk where I sleep. I ain't going to wake up dead some day if I can help it there is still a few things I haven't done in life yet.
I have my new fleet manager now (guess I am done with the training fleet manager) he seems like a nice enough fellow we shall see. After coming home empty last week then losing 2 days because of the transmission on the truck being at freight-liner I am probably looking at a tiny paycheck this week. So all in all a tough week what can you do.
I am on a good run right now to Paris Texas so hopefully I can work a little smarter and make some money.I spent a night in the maverick yard in Geary Indiana what a dump it was the first bad terminal that I had seen that place need a serious update.Deer season has opened up and I guess the deer are running for there life right now because I have noticed a definite increase in the number of dead deer on the road. They told us not to avoid the deer because it could cause a bad accident that one is going to be tough because I know what my natural reaction will be. Guess thats about it yall be safe and watch for the deer and the fences later -

Sorry to hear about the incident you had Daytona. Don't call it an accident unless there was a police report filed LOL. Hope there are no repercussions through your company, but there probably wont be unless you have more. The CO2 monitor is a good idea but use caution driving at night when the roads start freezing. The best advice I have had is to shut down late at night when that start happening.
Only some companies have physical agility testing.
