I would much rather have a truck not flash at all than flash their brights. Blinds the heck outta me. Same thing with those goofy fog lights on a perfectly clear night. If it aint foggy turn those dang things off.

I appreciate it when other drivers flash me over especially at night. I DO NOT appreciate high beams being flashed. I do my best to let other drivers know they're clear of me by flashing my lights for them. When a driver flashes his/her lights for me, I flash my marker lights or flash my 4 ways to say thank you. I 've also used my CB to let another driver know they're clear.

Here's your "new breed". I'm so very grateful to have been broken in by the old fellars.Makes me embarrassed to be a chick...Nice hat, by the way. Almost smells of troll.

I guess I'm part of the new breed, being new to this and 28, but at the same time I flash to let trucks in and do the markers interrupt to thank them, it doesn't hurt, it's the same as holding the door open and saying thank you and please, it costs nothing to do

    WRONG!!!

Flashing your high beams, especially at night, is a great way to screw with peoples eyeballs as we look in our right mirror to see if we're clear.

Dim your headlights instead. It tells those passing you "There's nothing here, move back over."

And if people want to avoid 4-wheelers coming around on the right, all they gotta do is put their right signal on when they get about 1/2 way past who their passing and then move over when they are clear. Traffic behind them will wait for them to move if they think they're gonna do it right away. It's when you wait until you are 100' ahead in the left lane and not signalling that people get impatient. Signal early, move sooner, less problems.

Going through I95 in C*ntnetticut, all the rigs run the center lane and pass on the right. Definetly not the rule but the norm in this case. Nothing like the Massholes and Con drivers merging, aka "lack of personal concern", at half the speed of traffic.

I have no control when the driver is gonna put his signal on...so I just do my part to nudge him back over

Well, if you are the one doing the passing then... ;)

I don't even remember how to pass people. When I come up on someone going slower than me, I go through a bunch of emotions. From happiness that for once i'm not the slowest person on the road at the time, to nervousness about whether I can eventually pass without 4,842 vehicles immediately lining up behind me, to confusion about why the hell someone would be going slower than me.

I see a bunch of you guys say dont flash the high beams but if you have a truck with running lights you cant turn the lights off a quick flash isnt an issue unless your staring at your mirror and in my experience i usually dont even look at the mirror to see if im clear until i "feel" like ive completely passed and usually by then ive already noticed the driver has flashed me at which point i put my signal on. You guys cant honestly tell me you stare that mirror down during the entire pass.
