we kinda sorta did. We loaded the baby transformer and are taking it to Ely NV...well, to a Gold mine 70 miles out of town....we are supposed to unload Thursday BUT the truck is NOT cooperating. She is possessed right now...she needs a priest I think. I have a feeling we will end up in the shop before the end of the day.:biggrin_25511:

It got lazy from sitting around so long. You move it or you lose it theory. I like the area around Ely. Y'all have fun and keep that truck out of the shop.

We didnt make it past Cheyenne...she died...and I mean DIED in the middle of I-80. Bo had to coast her down off the exit...at ELK MOUNTIAN 104 miles away...tow truck brought us back to Cheyenne. So Combined got us a room at the Plains Hotel in downtown and we explored Cheyenne for the last few days. I have a friend that lives here too so it has not been a bad stay. The truck got out of hosp yesterday, Bo drove it back to the motel and this morning it would NOT build air...the air compressor is DEAD. So in the last few days the truck as had 4 new injectors put in, a new fan hub (it didnt need) a few sensors and now the air compressor. HOPEFULLY the shop ##### is done with shops for a while after we get her back this time.

While all this was going on the shipper INSISTED combined get someone to take our load to NV...there were no multi axle trucks near us and those guys will NOT give up their trailers so they had to get ANOTHER truck company to pull OUR trailer to Ely NV. The driver calls us at 7pm and wants to know how to lift the trailer...oh crap...So Bo has to walk him through how to use our trailer...he had only pulled a 4 axle drop deck. Anyway the trailer is due back monday or tuesday...that is all for now....over and out

I worked for Combined Transport , when they was trying to get into carhauling at the time I was a O/O ,I had a brand new carhauling rig, the people up in Indiana Valpraiso was super nice people the owner Jim really wanted the carhauling to work out ,but it did'nt, they placed me with two idiot dispatchers one in Anderson S.C and the real idiot was in Royce City ,Texas , now I haul oversize loads and steel at home in Florida , but yes I would work for them again if I needed a job, there are really good people.

Sitting in a peanut field in OK waiting to get unloaded...Spent a HOT weekend in Tonopah AZ that was miserable....but we did go down to walmart for a little while sunday and killed some time. There were two of us there so we cooked out on the grill one night but it was just too hot to do anything really...we have put in for hometime so we may be going home from here not sure yet...Bo has been out almost 5 months...so time to go to the house and unwind and check on everything.
