You can go faster on narrow roads if you pull the mirrors in, makes the truck smaller.:biggrin_2552:

    Maxxforce. Enough said.

On a side note, at Gary for the night. I see they are testing one of the new pumps. They have a couple of drivers getting fuel now to test it. I must say those old 1930's model pumps were slow. But move over world as we have the latest, AND greatest 1931's model now. 0.6% pump increase, think of what you can accomplish with that much more time!

Really though, these pumps do look nice. Atleast they are new and not old ones like all the terminals have.

Got down from 6th to 5th I wasn't fast enough and stalled the truck. That's how steep one climb was. By the time I got it in 5th it lugged down and I tried jumping to 2nd, but no dice.

Dang man that is some serious road there. Submit routing feedback and tell them it's a poor choice for MPG.

Only thing is from where I picked up to where I'm going it looks like it would be an even bigger waste of time and fuel to take the interstate..maybe. idk lol

At the giant Penn 80 / Flying J in Milton, PA. Have a load of sports floor I picked up in Akron as a relay. The driver who dropped the relay 2 hours before my arrival decided to take most of the bungees off the tarps since that yard does not have an equipment shed. Photos sent to FM and I will be paid for a tarp event at the outset. "Drop and Hook" continues to be an elusive concept to me, having never experienced it.

This load goes to a university in Maine.

I already have a preplan to pick up in New Hampshire Saturday morning and deliver to Baltimore on Monday. This makes two assignments in a row where I have received the preplan on the day prior. So something is making the machine run with more efficiency lately. Not sure what it is... perhaps the recent attrition of good folks on this forum has caused a management-driven retention campaign... Next we'll be seeing CPM pay increases... One can only hope...

Ah true man. Luckily with stops being few and far between you didn't have to use the bathroom urgently.

    Which would suck!!!

And perp, you sir are right. I've noticed a increase in assignments. However last two loads I've had to wait for due to the area I was in. (high amount of deadhead and you know they don't like that). As for the tarp, that would of tic'd me off. But don't worry I picked up a relay and the chains werent even hooked. They were hanging off trailer.

But I wasn't mad at the driver (picked it up off him at a truck stop). He was new and made a mistake. Luckily he put plenty of straps though. As for his tarp job, let's just say I can look at the back and see almost one whole solid metal plate.
