Well, that's what everyone asked me before I came to work for them. Obviously, I hope they are stable now. Actually, I feel lucky to have jumped on board with the little experience I had. I really like it here. Sure hope they get it all figured out. But, what's the worst thing that can happen? I have to go work elsewhere? Oh well. I just try to keep a possitive mental outlook.

I'm not sure. Things were going really good for the last 3 months. Now all of a sudden I'm not working. I'm at Reddaway though. The one guy below me hasn't worked in the last couple weeks. I think he has had one day a week. They were looking to put 2 more guys on about 3 weeks ago! Now all hiring has stopped and freight is lacking. With winter coming up it's not looking good for me. Like Squonk said "just try to keep a positive mental outlook"

Yea it's gotten bad here as well. They terminated two spots so it added two extras to the shape in the morning. It's to the point that we almost have to call in now. The shop steward put his foot down and told the lower guys to just come in because he will give us the work over the senior guys if they are a minute late

What a bummer. I'm not working tonight either. At least the shop steward is looking out for you.
-
Saying they are doing it and doing are two different things. No run again tonight? That's rough man hopefully it gets better for you

I think i'm gonna pass on these guys. Too many uncertainties. I need something steady and a company thats isn't in trouble.

So I just got called by usf holland friday, ironically just as i got done with orientation for schneider.. They sounded very interested and told me to bring in my cdl and ss card wednesday to get the hiring process started fast.. My dad worked for yellow for 25 years and since he holland is under yrc he knows about them.. says its a very good job, way better then schneider.. plus schneider is up in chicago.. that's 100 miles round trip 5 days a week for me.. USF holland is 10 minutes from my house plus they dont make you work more then 12 hours a day.. should i even go in for my 1st day of work for schneider ? i Was supposed to be working out of ellwood which is close to my house but instead they have me working out of chicago and that is a little extreme for me. Holland sounds like a sure thing if i ever heard one
I heard after 5 years you make like $30 an hour.. Any USF holland drivers out there to give me some insight? -
