Loggin on "Line 3" for TMC

Sounds like your having good and bad with TMC and I guess that is like any other place. I lasted two full weeks with my trainer with TMC and then it was time for me to get off the truck before one of us got our arse whipped. They offered me another trainer but I decided while I was home not to go back out and took a day run job here locally. I didn't lose that much in projected income either being hourly considering the hours I would have spent doing OTR and I am home every weekend now and off on Wednesdays which is pretty nice (shower sometimes twice a day and get stove cooked meals).

I guess if you get a trainer with them that acts like they have some sense it makes for a more pleasant learning experience. Makes you wonder how in the hail they pick trainers and how many good people they have lost due to some of the people they have teaching new hires. TMC is not a bad company but they do have some questionable people behind the wheel doing training and I don't regret my short time spent with them. But I know I decided in the beginning that I would take $350 dollars(training pay) worth of crap from anyone but one cent over that then it was time for me to go.

You went to truck driving school?Was your trainer a complete ###? What happen for you to quit?

 

im hoping my trainer will take to des moines to test me out after the first week hell i will probly show him a thing or two!!!!!!!

 

Hey bighaulc you have experience? See you posted you doing 5 days orientation and 2 weeks training in truck.

So since you have experience you only have 4 weeks to get rolling in your own truck?

 

Yup theirs only one thing i will have to do once the trainer thinks im ready and thats 90 degree alley dock

 

o okay...i practice that maneuver at work just to master it. still rough around the edges tho lol
