Sounds like your having good and bad with TMC and I guess that is like any other place. I lasted two full weeks with my trainer with TMC and then it was time for me to get off the truck before one of us got our arse whipped. They offered me another trainer but I decided while I was home not to go back out and took a day run job here locally. I didn't lose that much in projected income either being hourly considering the hours I would have spent doing OTR and I am home every weekend now and off on Wednesdays which is pretty nice (shower sometimes twice a day and get stove cooked meals).
I guess if you get a trainer with them that acts like they have some sense it makes for a more pleasant learning experience. Makes you wonder how in the hail they pick trainers and how many good people they have lost due to some of the people they have teaching new hires. TMC is not a bad company but they do have some questionable people behind the wheel doing training and I don't regret my short time spent with them. But I know I decided in the beginning that I would take $350 dollars(training pay) worth of crap from anyone but one cent over that then it was time for me to go.
Enjoy reading your posts and hope you made it home this weekend. I think I am going to go take a shower!.

-
But to answer your question.... I dont know why I put up with it. Do you have a better job lined up for me? -
Well, we dont do 90 degree angle docks. But good luck with your trainer. He wont be in a hurry to let you go because you all will run teams and he will be the one making money from it.
I went to orientation with fireman. Good to hear from you, sorry it didnt work out. No, I didnt make it home. Im still 2 hrs from the house. Road construction and hard rain, and a bunch of idiot 4 wheelers made me bump my 11 hr clock. So, I will SWING through the house tomorrow, long enough to do laundry and listen to why my wife hates me working at TMC. Then, I gotta roll. I wont even get 10 hrs at the house. Oh well, sux to be me.
Oh and for the shower comment.......
