When I ride, I make sure that there is always an option to avoid conflicting traffic. It is the rider's responsibility to expect the unexpected.

Yeah i'm a rider also and people can't always see a bike so I make sure that i can see their eyes if possible..if not then I ride very defensively that's for sure...We might never know what happened that nite and we've all been there one time or another with maybe not knowing where to go in a unfamilar area and just trying to get somewhere to park for the nite...Could be the case...who can say for sure...i'm sure this guy driving the truck is pretty much devastated for sure...I would be...

Knight does have a no U-turn policy. For example, when you leave there Fontana yard you cant make a left turn but there is a place for a legal u-turn but if you are a Knight driver and they see you do that they will bring you right back into the yard have you clean out the truck and send you packing. They are very clear about this rule. Absolutely no u-turns at no time no where for no reason. So yes he probably will be fired.
