My truck wont go out of the 6s this trip.
-
aww sad welcome to my world here lately i do remember what fuel bonuses look like though
-
I do too. Ive seen 1-2. Got one last week.
-
Do the flatbeds get better fuel mileage than the reefers?
-
Mine doesnt. Loads are too unaerodynamic for me to get good mileage.
-
You have the Detroits DD13 in your trk?
-
The fullsize trucks have the DD15. (ORD has a fullsize)
-
My trk has the DD13 in it and it gets 5.5mpg grossed out at 83,500 and we deadhead half the miles we drive. Best fuel mileage truck I drove was a 2009 Peterbilt 386 with a Cummings ISX in it. I would drive right at 3300 miles a week in it and she averaged right at 7 pulling a reefer. She was a beast pulling the hills in Missouri.

How was the Jake brake or "c" brake on that isx? Does it hold back a grossed truck going through hills and mountains?
