Thanks for the heads up WheelMan55!

I just finished my 1st week as a solo driver for Roehl, (dry van). Dry van is pretty boring, so I'm thinking about switching to flatbed.
I like to work a little bit, and flat-bedding will give me more experience and will ultimately make me more $valuable as a driver.
I'm wondering what to expect during training ?..... I appreciate any info/advice that you may offer. -
Basic stuff. Two days of securement training. Then 5 days with a local flatbed trainer in chicago
I love it though, its so much fun!
Ethanchaosg Thanks this. -
Thanks for the info.
I'm really not interested in going OTR with a trainer for 5 days. That just might make me not want to become a flat-bedder.
I'll call the driver operations number, and see if I can't find out a little more info......Thanks! -
You won't, you'll stay in gary. Your trainer will be a local guy. You'll be in gary and chicago area for those 5 days. At night you'll be at the terminal. Not sleeping in the trainers truck
Ethanchaosg Thanks this. -
That's good to know.
Hows life at the terminal ?
Is the terminal nice, clean?......do they give you your own room ? -
Gary isn't dirty but its not the best. It sucks. If your in a truck now, you'll be sleeping in the truck.
Ethanchaosg Thanks this.
