perhaps the problem to begin with was the spotting help. Or inexperienced help spotting. Little understanding of how things should be from the inside doesnt translate to understanding how it should be from the outside.
Some one earlier stated something about being nervous as a noob. THIS I think is the biggest hurdle. Once I could breath in and out and really look at what was going on, my training and the reps backing kicked in and it was easier to make the correct choices in turning the wheel. Getting better everyday.

I learned to back a truck 4 years ago and I have been driving for 7 years.
The day I learned to drive I was delivering a load to the Alamo Center, San Antonio. I walked in and saw the place that I was suppose to pull into and knew right of the bat that it was impossible and someone else would have to do it for me. 51 years old and I wanted my mother. Then a Mexican American man showed up on a cushman cart. I told him know way and he said he could do it. I figured he was going to jump in the truck and drive it for me. No. He said follow me and I did. We went around the garage to get a good line up and then I followed his hand signals. Next thing I knew I was against the dock and it felt great.
Backing isn't hard at all once you know what you are doing. This man took time and taught me how to back. I will never forget his kindness. I don't blame you for not helping others, that is between you and God. Giving knowledge to someone else is one way we can live forever.
Thus ended the sermon.airforcetoo, Wisc-Badger, RALPHMANBEARPONY and 5 others Thank this. -
I pull a 53 foot tri axle RGN, it is a royal pain to back up loaded and it takes a good bit of time to learn how to dock park.
I would love to have the people that complain get in the drivers seat and try backing it like a dock park, I bet good money if you never did it before you could not hit it in the first 10 times.
Everyone needs to lend a hand, for this is how we learn.airforcetoo Thanks this. -

I have a wife, an ex-wife, and teenagers. If anyone thinks I want or need something else talking back to me, they need their head examined!
