I hear ya. I'm next up for an upgrade from my old Samsung slide-phone...I'm hesitant but kind of anticipating anxiously at the same time. I'll enjoy it...if I can ever figure how to turn on the #### thing!

Had that same type of phone, it was a royal pain to use, this Motorola razor mazz is the cats. Now to learn the 40 other applications I may know a little about it.

I should have mentioned before, I have a real problem especially with tight spots because I have no depth perception. I get by, but sometimes it's very frustrating. I tried staying at the Pilot on I-75 at Franklin OH. That place is ridiculous so there was a whole crew of us going around helping other drivers. As soon as you got into a hole, you joined the others helping the next driver. I've learned a few tricks over the years, one thing I will do is pull the pin on my tandems. If I put the tandems to the rear it makes it easier to get the back of the trailer into the hole, then lock the trailer tires and slide the trailer back as I bring the front of the trailer around, finally release the brakes and continue working into the hole. It may take awhile, so turn off the c.b., but more than once it has gotten me into a spot late at night that everyone else had to give up on. That little trick came from experience, no one ever taught it to me, but I pass it along free of charge.

Its been awhile since I've been there but is there even a spot that you can "straight line back" into??

I was there at the pilot at Franklin, oh just while back. Had to disconnect from my trailer so another driver could get in a spot late at night.

I hate that pilot! But have you ever pulled into a truck stop at 4 in the morning after 14 hours, and the last spot is just a bit to tight and it takes 30 minutes to back in when most days it would only be 3 minutes?

And yes..there is that pack of experts on the big radio, yakking away without any given help, because maybe the need help also! Seen it in my company co-drivers. Reminds me of the old saying "Hire a teen ager while they still know it all' I find tons of them at the truck stop, or even on that dumb Ice road driver show!

Gotta love the attitude of some drivers. I guess you are better than others until you make a mistake, right chief?

That's why my radio goes off or way down in a truck stop, I had a place in Tx. that I came into and I was a LITTLE past my 11 and I couldn't hit the hole if you put me on a rail. some crotchety old guy and being I'm pretty old this guy was old tells me " let me do that for ya !" I get out he slides it and then says " lets go get some coffee you look like you could use a drink . We now talk at least once a week and he still kids me about it . anyone can have a bad day or night or maybe even something else going on completely so before you jump on the radio and badmouth someone walk in his shoes or maybe just maybe make a friend and help the guy out. Life is short !
