Without adding any accessories? I REALLY HATE SALESMEN!!!
i could over look the few options and color at $121000 but at $126000 it's handy to where I can order one and get EXACTLY what I want..... And somehow this salesman doesn't get that, it's only color, it's only satellite radio, it's only air ride verses spring ride front end, it's only a small difference between 3:42 and 3:55, what's the big deal?...... At $ 121 ok but at 126. I may walk...
So here's my question... Am I just a pickey a-hole? What do color and options matter as long as it is specs are right to do the job right?
    Let the flames begin!

Nice rant , now how about details. What are you buying are these changes things you want or is it on the truck and you can live with it ?

Changing a gear in an already built truck can get costly , if being built not a big deal , some colours cost more than others ( its a fact ) adding air ride to the front end is an additinal cost again on a already built truck , but not a big deal on 1 being ordered.

They have one on the lot 730 Volvo. I finally got a load to go see it and do the deal. I knew it was 355 I want 342, $1500 to change. I don't know it had no sat radio built in , I know easy fix add an external rig and antennae, I have one of those and would rather on a new truck have a built in, it doesn't have air ride front axel, I had one on my old classic Xl and want it again, it's white I don't like white, it doesn't have the "bright package" ok so what. I was willing to over look a lot of this for the great deal, he was going to throw In a few extras but the cheap price went up, at that point I'm figuring I might as well add a couple more thousand and just order exactly what I want? I got po'd when the salesman said I was picky? I Will over look a few things for the price but once it is not such a good price why not order?

So ... Yup just my rant for the day.

. Most dealers have plenty of inventory , keep looking and get what you want . I'd order!

If I were to pay that kind of money:smt119 for a truck, it would be EXACTLY as I wanted. But I ain't going to buy a new truck.:Transportation cost

That is a salesman's job:O_o_1PIRATES29:. To sell what they have:evil3:, and make you want it enough to spend a little more:evil4:.

If you're spending that kind of scratch on a brand new truck, get EXACTLY what you want and do not "compromise" on your specs to suit what the dealer has on his lot. If he doesn't want to make the sale, walk out and go find a dealer that will place the order for you.

I was just shopping for a used truck, and it was unbelievable how many dealers I ran across who thought they knew what I needed better than I did. All they were interested in doing was talking me into something they had on their lot...which is understandable, because they can't sell me something they don't have....but I knew what I wanted, and I wasn't going to compromise on the specs I had selected.

You answered your own question. This price went up because of all the changes to the truck your wanting. Itd be nice if theyd do all that for free, but there in it to make money too.

Granted my experience is in a different vehicle sales field but Car sales is truck sales is sales.....All kinda the same group and type of people doing it. Sales managers, the guys behind the glass, want to sell their stock so they'll push their guys to try and get you to buy now vs order it. Not only does order cost them money, whether it be they have to pay to get it in, pay to trade, or something people don't think about is that truck costs them money just to sit there. All dealerships pay flooring. So depending on how long that truck has been sitting there they may be paying out the *** just to have that truck on the ground.

If I were the sales person, maybe not the way he worded it, I would try and make you feel picky because its his best chance to get you to buy the truck at a higher price right now vs ordering it. Everyone deserves to make money but you're right, theres a certain point where it may be worth your while to get EXACTLY what you want but you'll have to wait. The wait is what kills people, Now vs later, more vs less, what will be most important to you.

Right now you would be better off ordering what you want , adapting to what he has on the lot and some ad ons you will not be happy , or getting a salesman do a search for you of North American inventory.
