Yeah, I've had my share of hot slag in my ears, down my shirt, in my boots, burn through my cap etc. No fun for sure! But I burned them out for 25 years before I switched removal methods!

Ha sorry. I just get irritated as can be when I hear ppl tell other ppl things can't be done that I've seen done. Pull the tranny to replace clutch brake no thanks. I've never cut one out myslef but watched it done. Guy had a nice chunk or slag about an inch from his eye. Just to many diesel dummys that think they know all on here. But lots of good help too

I just bought a Freightliner with this kind of tranny...
Can I ask what you did to fix this problem? I have the same issue going on with mine.
Thank you from Nebraska -
do you have a gen1 "clutch pedal" or gen2, gen3 "no clutch pedal"
-
It has a clutch pedal!
I have cleaned all battery connections checked all sensors and adjusted clutch.
This has helped but still has times its takes 30 seconds to go into gear. Seems to get worse the warmer the tranny temp is?
Going to change tranny fluid this week...any other PM ideas? -
I ended up replacing the tranny with a used manual, after a bit of a run around, come to the conclusion it was the computer on the tranny.
