And what would you do if he was to get pulled in and failed inspection because his front blower motor doesn't work? I understand going without 1 but when it is hot as it has been lately no thanks. I wouldn't move either

    Blind Dog Thanks this.

You misunderstood. Im not trying to put them over the barrel. Its too easy, fix it or I quit. Shoot, I might still quit even after they fix it?

Do any of you TMC drivers know anything about the line haul position they are advertising about , here in the North East? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks

TMC maintains their trucks with pride. Thats a whole lot more than can be said for most companies!
Fyi, road repair sent me to the Pete dealer in Jackson, Ga. I75 ext 201. They replaced my front fan. From there I went to the truck wash and washed my "Dirty Skank." Then I filled the fuel tanks. Now Im waiting for a load. Im supposed to go do a repower, which is fine with me as I hate this trailer I have, plus somebody else got to tarp a lumber load.
So.... my fm tried to pull a fast one, I said "I dont think so, not gonna happen." But TMC fixed my truck. Im happy and ready to roll.
P.s. I still better be heading home on friday, this repair dont change nothing!!

Hey B Dog. Just wanted you to know I posted this on another thread last week.

Worked for TMC about 3 years ago. Moved to them for the "46 out of 52" weekends hometime advertised on the website.

Went thru orientation got my truck. The first load sent me out on Tuesday and delivered on Friday morning early. Sat in truck till Monday thru Easter weekend. OK. Lets move forward.

Over the next 3 weeks, they got me home once. Then out 2 weeks, no hometime.

I was willing to work hard (flatbed) to see my family. I mentioned to my FM that the website advertised 46 out of 52 weekends home.

SHE SAID " DO YOU BELEIVE EVERYTHING YOU READ?????" Here I am sitting in the truck dumbfounded feeling like a fool.

Next week goes by sitting in South Louisianna, can't get me a load home. I said OK I'm leaving the company. They said Ok and got me a load to a TMC terminal 750 miles from my house. Now my truck is loaded with all my belongings. I told them that I am driving back to my home terminal empty. They said they would charge me 50 cents a mile. Started the truck and went home. And no, they never charged me.

This is 100% true. I usually never complain, but everyone has there limit. Worked for other carriers and all was fine. Never been treated like this before.

For you guys working at TMC. If you havent run dry van you may not know how much harder is flatbedding. Dry van you bump a dock or drop and hook usually on your way in about 1 hr. Flatbed, they can keep all that tarping and load securing. Time at the shipper and receiver is soo much slower. I'll bet TMC never goes to elogs because it would put them out of business. Much longer days, need many more showers. Lots of waiting. The 14hr is usually the issue, not the 11hr. Didn't notice any more money to compensate.

I'm just saying if you only have done flatbed you may not realize how much better your life could be.
