Semi passenger killed in head-on crash

GRANTS, N.M. - One person is dead following a head-on crash involving two semis in western New Mexico.

State police say one semi was traveling west on Interstate 40 this morning when it crossed the median, slamming into an eastbound semi near mile marker 90. That's a few miles east of Grants.

A passenger in the eastbound semi was killed, and its driver was airlifted to the hospital.

The driver of the westbound semi, who's inthe Cibola County Hospital, will be charged with vehicular homicide and DWI, according to state police.

From what I got from an early news cast this morning, the truck carrying the passenger who died was a FedEx truck.
