Roehl Driver Check In

Just got the word, DH to Gary in the AM and turn in the truck, I did meet one of the newer drivers this afternoon, he wound up a few trucks down from me the Love's in Milwaukee, I bestowed upon him my lumber tarp flap. That thing has saved me from throwing a second tarp at least a couple dozen times since I found it. Stay safe out here drivers.

 

I'll have to look and see if I can find the show, that would be neat to watch.

We are in Las Vegas.. Have to take the truck over to the International dealer in the morning. Coming up the mountain before Barstow we were down to 5th gear running about 13 mph.... Same thing happened on the mountain between Baker and here. It's throwing an EGR code, so we'll see what happens in the morning.

 

Sitting in the graveyard... Came out of the house yesterday with a run from Shakopee to Rossville, IL, but b4 I start that I had a drive tire down 35 PSI. Luckily a driver in the yard had a air hose. Filled it up and on the road. This morning warning light came on again. Down 10. Sat for 90 minutes after unloading before vgetting the deadhead to Gary.
Get into Gary same in shop, but we can't find leak. Another driver had a chunk out of his tire, but since there were no matches in stock, he got 4 new ones. The boss says change out my tire with one of his old ones. So after 3 hours, they finally pull off my tire. I search and search to find the hole. Another driver is looking and we finally find it. Inch long nail went barely through, enough to barely puncture and give the slow leak.
So the other driver saved me from having to leave with a nail in my tire. They weren't going to change it if they couldn't find the leak, but since the other guy got 4, they decided to change it. Lucky day today! Off the La Vergne TN in the morning for a 2030 delivery. Wonder what I will get for a weekend run?

 

In Gary also. Before I headed out after getting loaded this morning I sent a message asking about trying to get my weekend load now. Well I got one alright I will start heading to Robbinsville, NJ for a drop and hook on Saturday morning. Great miles but it is a placarded load. I believe I only got this load, after talking to the Driver who brought it in, is I have the endorsement and the original Driver broke down.

 

that's the kind of stuff that drives me crazy.

 

So what did you get? I got mine already. After I deliver in the morning I will head over to Bensalem and pick up a relay that doesn't deliver in Montreal until Monday at 0700.

 

At the TA in Bloomsburg, PA. I hammered out 620 miles today.....so yeah it was a good day.

 

Sitting at the TA in La Verne, TN. Deliver at 2030. Got a preplan to head to Russellville for a nice run to St. Paul for Monday morning. Can't complain about that!

 

OK, so if you know that the truck stop is small don't plan on arriving after 5PM and expect to get a parking spot. Yes, it may happen, but more than likely it won't... These guys who can't plan their day just PI$$ me off!
