"go to war" what's that have to do with weakness...because my wife hasn't gone to war and I wouldn't want her to experience what I have experienced in two wars(OEF, OIF Vet here) and she's not weak she's one of the strongest women I know to put up with me spending a total of three years overseas while she pretty much raised two kids when I was off playing infantry for three years. I also know plenty of women who have gone to war that are just as strong as the men I fought beside. They are allowed to vote because of the woman's movements which started in 1756 when Lydia Taft voted in three town hall meetings to (June 4, 1919) August 18, 1920 when the 19th amendment took effect on their right to vote which was drafted by Susan B. Anthony. So when it comes to it people like you had nothing to do with women's right to vote. To say they are weak"week" as you spelled it is wrong.

You should always get paid for unloading or loading. That's a policy you want to check before joining a company.

As for why you were called "Princess," it's because you described yourself as a "weak female" who doesn't want to load or unload.

Personally, I don't want to load or unload because of the possibility of injuring my knees or back. That's a realistic reason no matter what my gender. But for heaven's sake we get enough crap as women drivers, we don't need someone exemplifying everything stereotypical as to why we shouldn't be drivers! This isn't an industry where you can bat your eyelashes and get "some strong man to do it for you." That's what lot lizards do. Being a female trucker means being STRONG inside and out. If you start out seeing yourself as weak, how the hell are you gonna make it on the road?

I think he's referring to women who scream for equal rights in the military but then refuse to go into the battlefront.

I wouldn't wish war on anyone, male or female, but if a female joins the military, she best be ready to do everything men do, up to and including front line infantry. I get so aggravated at these women who scream for equal rights and then try to use their gender as an excuse to get out of crappy work. It sets our cause for equality back tenfold.

Well said I applaud you , and as a soon to be ex artillery , I see this everyday, they want to do what the guys do but when it's something ###### and hard they run off or when it's go to the field and live in the woods for two weeks they say they can't cause there females. I say give me a break, if you want to be equal you need to take all of it the good the bad and the strange women can do everything just as good and if nt better then a man if they wanted to but I'm done now that's just my 2 cents.

I don't want women on the front lines with me. I don't care how good they are.

I could be wrong, but I have a feeling that finding a starter company that allows pets will be hard.

If you can do without the cat, check into Stevens. My truck was a 2010 Kenworth T-2000 and had something like 270,000 miles on it. Truck was in real good shape and never broke down on me.

All Stevens trucks have APU's and a/c's that work great. The only time that I felt the bunk a/c didnt keep up was in Phoenix in the middle of summer. It was a little uncomfortable, but wasnt bad.

I never had to load/unload myself. Stevens pays for lumpers.

I am not saying that Stevens is perfect because they are far from it, but I think that they are a lesser of the evils. I stayed there 8 months and was able to find a local/regional job that I'm enjoying much better that Stevens. But hey, you gotta start somewhere.

While I was doing my research I found that Prime and Maverick would be decent to train with although I dont know about their pet policies.

    Best of luck!
