The one I wrecked was more of a rent deal until spring when they were going to buy the truck that I would be making the payments on and eventually be mine. With the wreck that changed that pretty quickly and this is the one that'll be mine when its paid for.
I had a bad day!

Its a W9 if you look in "my trucking photos" link at the top right of this post you'll be able to see the pics. -
Brickman, were you already hauling cars when this deal came about or was it a new venture all together? If it was new, what attracted you the most? Am I right in remembering that it was more home time? Either way, glad you got back on the road with the truck you wanted!
-
I worked for these guys as an employee over 5 yrs ago for a few months. With what I had then and now I've got about a yr car hauling. I had about 5 months as a O/O with a 4 car trailer, approx 3.5 months for them, and now over 2 months.
So car hauling was not an entirely new experience for me. I'm making close to what I was making OTR and am home most weeks for 2 days. How ever this week I left monday morning. Was home over night on wed night, and then got home saturday afternoon and won't go back out until either monday afternoon or tuesday morning. -
And if you can reuse the aircraft it's a bonus!
Brickman, I know this happened a while ago, but I just read the first few posts and saw the pictures - sorry to hear about your bad luck. REALLY glad you're okay. Don't need anyone becoming another statistic.
I'm glad to see you were back at it in a new ride shortly after it happened.
Y'all be careful out there!Last edited: Aug 7, 2008
Brickman Thanks this. -
WOW 1 yr ago.
How things can change in a yr.
Bad economy, super high fuel prices, slow freight, house fire, truck I replaced the wreck with repoed 1 month after the fire resulting in loss of yob.
4 months since house fire and no new house in sight because of a loan writer without a clue.
My how time flies. -
But look at the bright side. At some point, you will have a nice new house. You were able to get a decent job again quickly. And most importantly, you wife stood by your side through all the crap. Not everyone has it so good.
Brickman Thanks this. -
Leanna, you are the ultimate optimist! And I love that. I see that side of it too, but could never express it quite like you can! Thank you, sweetie, for just being so "you"!
