I usually do it in FRONT of center. push the weight towards the drives. My drives are ALWAYS less than 30k, and trailers are around 36-37k. I started shifting everything forward a little and it balanced it out a LITTLE. But, we have a California spread. Are TMC's axles all the way to back of the trailer?

I usually place the center of my load just a hair rear of center. Reason being you can only have 34k on your drives, but you can put 40k on your trailer. To who asked, yeah Ive had some not so good times out here. I believe alot of it is due to my crappy fm. However.... I finally fired my turd fm. Starting monday, I get a new fm, one that came highly recommended from a very seasoned driver. So heres the deal.. as long as TMC "behaves," I will work for them. But I am done putting up with junk. Theres no way Id do this for 20 years being the way it has been. I hope the " be careful what you wish for" thing dont bite me in the butt. I hope this new fm will be good. Time will tell, but I aint giving them much freedom. Im gonna keep a close eye on TMC. The load I was supposed to deliver on friday didnt make it, at no fault of mine, so I onlu had 2 loads last week. Im soooo glad that douche bag fm is "fired!!!" I'll keep you posted on my new fm. To the private messages, I thank you for your help. Feel free to contact me anytime. Im always willing to talk to folks, unless your a jerk. lol

I'm looking to get my cdl and I think tmc is my first choice for a company to start with. But I was wondering if on your home time you can drop your trailer somewhere and bobtail home?

@erock
yes. like blind said. if safety approves its fine. however, some areas no matter how secure it may be they will say no (due to theft). Also, reguarless of where you park (a hint for any TMC driver) set you passcode to lock the truck-if its stolen the first thing safety will ask is "was it "locked" yes "whats the passcode?" you dont want to be having to say "um, um" thell know you didnt lock it. just sayinERock Thanks this. -
Thanks for the quick replies, I've ben reading this forum alot lately and I'm sure I will come up with some more questions. This seems to be the most active thread for tmc related things. Thanks again.
