By the way does FFE have BMI restrictions. My recruiter never mentioned it. I'm a former college football player. Played on the line and no where near what they consider the acceptable BMI.

 

Also, if you quit the school for any reason what so ever before you get your CDL from the DMV, you owe nothing to FFE for the school.

 

Hey all I put my application in. Wanting to start the first of august. How is everyone doing on the road?

 

Today is Saturday and I have one more day on the backing range. The class I am in graduates on Monday the 23rd. If I pass the CDL road test later that day, I will go to Lancaster and start the orientation process. Once I get through orientation, I will write a very detailed report on what I have experienced.

I will say this now though. On July 9th, I had never been in a big truck. Less than two weeks later, I passed the FFE road test evaluation with a near-perfect score. I don't agree with everything that has been said or done here, but this training program does get results. If I can do this, anyone can. Hopefully I pass the CDL road test on my first try Monday. I am ready to start getting paid.

Of the 27 people who started on Monday the 9th, I am guessing that about 15 or 16 are left. It's hard to give an exact number since the people who already had CDL's were added to the class on Thursday the 12th, and a few other people were added this week for various reasons. Most of the people who left did so for personal reasons. I am only aware of two people who could not pass the FFE road test evaluation and were dismissed from the training program.

I'm estimating the end of August. Need to get some things in order at home.

 

You will need to finish by the end of august because texas is changing the law. You will have to have your cdl in your home state by then. I do believe. Please call them and find out.

 

Yes Sept. First is cut off for states other than texas. All of the schools in Texas are fighting the crack down on out of staters. It's the Fed cracking down on the states from what I understand.

 

I have been out with my trainer for a week now we have been across the entire southern half of the U.S. My trainer is a great guy lets me do most of the driving and all of the backing some tight docks on the east coast good luck to all the new grads! Drive safe.

 

Looks like we will be in the same class. Are you starting next Monday?
