I love the big pipes coated in asphalt. They don't move :)

It really drives the driver crazy too. Nothing like spending half a day in Gary and not getting paid for it. I don't know how they can justify not paying breakdown pay at a terminal.

Just scheduled orientation for Aug 06 in Gary, IN for flats. Looking forward to getting started. I have a couple of questions if someone doesn't mind answering for me. I have been reading a ton of these posts on several threads. Seems like most of the drivers on here from Roehl are from the north or east. I live in Nashville, TN and was wondering if that would make a difference to what areas I would mostly be driving in. I realize I will be all over, but seems most of the guys I have followed on here stay in the north. Is that the case for everyone? Is most of Roehl's freight in those areas? Am I in a good lane for Roehl? Just curious. I am also curious what kind of truck I can expect to be assigned at this time in flats? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks

The truck was done this afternoon. Picked it up and headed back over to the truckstop to pick up the trailer, only to find that someone was nice enough to back into the front passenger corner of it. They pushed the rubrail into the bubble, and ripped the end of the rail completely off the trailer along with the stake pocket. After getting that squared away, we head down the road. About 30 miles down the road, check engine light is back on and it's still can't get out of its own way going up a hill. We made it to Richfield UT.... Maybe tomorrow will be better.

Well the company is based in WI. But you live in a decent area. You live in the middle of the country with a few interstates close by so it is easy to get routed through there.

Sitting in Fond Du Lac at the glorious "Stretch" truck stop. So I delivered on Monday morning and took the rest of the day off. (Wife's B-day and also running low on hours.) I get my load this morning, a whopping 274 miles???? That's a load you give someone who unloaded today not who is coming with a fresh 11 to run. Man sometimes time management with Roehl just PMO....

At a Citgo truck stop outside Cortland, NY heading to Chattanooga. I finally got out of Canada this afternoon. I wasted about about 3 days up there. So I go into Quebec on Sunday and shut down. Now this is where the fun begins. My pre plan said it was a live unload so I go to deliver on Monday and I am told I can drop the trailer but the after looking around I see the only other trailer there was still loaded. Great. I go back and tell them I need an mt can you unload my trailer. They say they can but it wont be until after lunch sometime. My FM comes in to work and I tell her the situation. She comes back with the planner says it supposed to be a drop and hook. Really?? My pre plan says different. Everybody gets on the same page and knows I will have to wait it out. I get a new pre plan to go to Kingston and pick up at 1200 today. I almost get blown off the 401 on the way there because of some serious crosswinds from a storm. I call the shipper later about the trailer and I am told come in at 0700 the trailer should be just about ready. I show up around 0700 and finally leave 4 1/2 hours later. Told my FM add them to the list I am never coming back here again. My 14 just got torched sitting there.

Man I thought I had a rough couple of days. I feel for you guys. I hope somebody can figure what is wrong so you can see something other than a repair shop. Of course being stuck in Vegas probably wasn't too bad. I wouldn't have minded that.
