i don't know i like my 53' sliding as long as i don't go to cali, hard to scale the big stuff their, but having a 10' upper is nice and i would add can locks if this was my personal trailer
their are some customers that want the 53' cause they don't want over hang and i would add ramps with the step as well
Which trailer would you choose

Ramps for sure also the container locks! Now the steps I pull have 11' upper and 42 bottom. Stationary spread cali leagal. If it was me I would want something with a 34" height or lower. Be able to pull alot more without over height permits needed.

my deck height is 42" sp 10' is max out east and 10'6" on the west. with out permit

I have just about the same set up 11 upper 42 bottom cal spead "non slider" with Ramps load levelers are handy if the shipper will load on them, some of them the concept seems alien

Great term "Alien" as some just don't get it!
Unless you draw them a picture they stand there with their "window licking" look on their face! -
I agree with getting the lowest deck height possible. It is nice to be able to put double drop loads (better paying) on a low step deck. I would advise against doing it with little tires. Much higher operating costs. An o/op might be able to get away with it thought

We have 22.5s on ours over here and they have above deck wells similar to yours Pape. You have seen them. Its nice to have the lower deck like said above for those loads that pay RGN rates but would be to heavy for one. Thats where the steps with a max deck height of about 34" comes in handy and makes out for great profits!

We have been running the wheel wells for 20 years. However, our current fleet trailer is an aluminum Wilson with the rounded wells pioneered by the black and chrome. We wanted to go to the combo for the 2000 lbs weight savings.

Yep thats what um pulling right now. Good trailers.
