If you have had some form of your own business for around 20 yrs ago, and was involved in trucking some 25 yrs ago, do you think that person would have a chance to be somewhat succesful with a lease.?

the lease is all for the company no doubt
I am just like you owned my own buisness for over 30 years
owned trucks 78-82
but the pay on the lease doesnt break even with a company guy until you get 2800 miles per week
unless you have a good dispatcher you don't see that
Now for me the new comfortable truck was important
leasing a worn down 07 like many companies do is a deathknell -
You can make money with Stevens Alliance lease program, but it is pretty much all going to come from your fuel surcharge and youur mpg. The higher they are the more you make. You will also have to run hard.
It is definately in tihe companies favor, but some do succeed with it. -
It also helps to be a trainer so you get paid for all the miles on the truck even those driven by the trainee.

Keep your foot off the pedal, the left door closed and run every mile they give you.
As a solo operator, I made decent money as a L/O. Over 50,000. But you have to have a good relationship with your DM, have a good DM and be willing to stay out.Rif Raf McQ and Hardwork Thank this.
