Where is everyone?

Woo got the truck back! Good thing we found that spare fan drive. Parked in the back corner of the yard, hoping no one will come tell me to hitch up. "The truck is unsafe to travel on the highway as a bobtail!" Quote from the new guy at Birmingham when I called about needing to use the truck for a day.

 

Back home loaded headed to anderson, sc in the AM one of them good paying short loads. Dunno where to after that. I have a few places in mind...working on it

 

I got back home too. Load to MI canceled on me, but I found an even better one going to South Bend. Have to unload in the morning and then try to find something else to finish out the week. It gets tought doing local because everything that picks up Wednesday goes 400-500 miles and delivers friday, or goes farther and delivers Monday. Not sure how well this being home on weekends is gonna work out.

Is it just me or has the freight in the Chicago area gotten a bit soft??? Even on the LS board there are only about 50 loads showing available tomorrow and they are all going to nowhere.

Looks like I might need to get loads on Monday that go 1,000 miles out and then find a return load back from this point on.

Arrived at stop #1, kicked the 6 skidded coils off at New Holland, PA. Now to take these 2 big ones over to Alcoa for a transfer, then running the small coil to Roanoak.

 

RGN has dropped off as well, loads are out there, but i never would haul it for what they are paying. This week is looking bad locally. Believe it or not got a good load out of Denver. Slim pickens...
