Unloading will not be a violation by itself. One can be on duty as many hours as they want. You just can't drive after 70. Same for the 14, One can be on duty 24hrs and not be in violation, you just can't drive after 14 until you take a 10hr break.

I am not on elogs, yet.. But how does it know you are unloading?

I thought you could drive 30 days straight, or more, on private property with no repercussions. You do have to show a ten hour break before leaving.

That's the problem with E-Logs, It is assumed that time is predictable and nothing can change.

No they say the rules exist even when your plans change.

"It doesn't matter if that load has to be delivered today! DON'T BE AN OUTLAW!" Try doing that with Flatbed, and the Reciver won't take it after the set time, and your company fines you for. Can't sell that crap, can you? Do some flatbedding for a month and see how you and your log book get along.

So flatbeds are the only ones that get crapped on for trying to deliver after the appointment time? Apparently you have never delivered to a walmart!

Dispatch also told me one receiver, DO NOT BE LATE PERIOD, they will reschedule you for the next week!!!!!

Delivering to Wally in the a.m.... thankfully it's a drop not a live unload. Appt is from 0100 - 2300... "jist brimg it.bu and drop it anytime"

Got to love that, it doesn't happen often at Wallyworld.
