Yea you probably one of the ones they do care about but ive been with link two months and tther is no one to talk to when you need help its very bad now that the ones in the office dont care about the drivers,how can this company exspand and be better when they lazy people in the offices waiting to get off and leave your problems to the next man that could really care less. im a team player to the fullest and i want this company to work and put the rest in there place but its like im getting nowhere fast i would love to voice my opinion to the right one but the system at link is set up so you cant do that. also my pay is never correct but i bet they checks be right then got to wait two weeks to get that back ,i got a wife and five kids that im away from trying to make my ends meet but they dont care if they do i havnt seen it my whole orintation class has quit but me, y i cant afford to knowing they going to keep my little check my kids need to eat with i just dont know what to do at this point,help me if possible......

Well, sent here to Penske to grab trailer, but no one thought about what to do if they close. They closed at 2000. I was told to pick it up at 0100 after my break. Well, gates are closed with trucks blocking them, trailer is im back corner with trucks parked in front of it, and I was told by nights to see if any way in or a number to call because load delivers at 0400. Smh... Nope. So back at truck stop I am waiting for load planners as my clock ticks away. Penske doesn't open until 0800 so they'll need to find me another load to do.

 

I was taken from load that couldn't be picked up. Now I wait here in Florence for a load home. Doctor appt tomorrow at 0900 that I waited a month and half for. To reschedule is another month and half wait so I can't miss it. I miss it, I won't be driving at end of August. Sleep study...

Miles this week were bad. So far only 1000 miles done because of so many problems with loads. Next week better be better.

 

I won't make appt to set up sleep study. Load I'm getting picks up in West Jefferson, NC after 1400. It delivers in Orlando Monday morning. It took me a month and half to get into this doctor for the sleep study consultation to get script. Well, it will take another month for the rescheduling of the appt. I'll be disqualified from driving by then so when I get home, I have no choice, but to clean off truck. Dm asked why I couldn't see another doctor, then said I waited too long. Um, first if they got me home as asked, we wouldn't have this situation. Second, while they looked for a new benefits person, I never got my insurance paperwork that I begged for, for 2 months to get. Then I wasn't signed up for insurance by her until July 16th... So how is it my fault that I couldn't pay 5k for a test for a sleep study being forced on me by their doctor stating it's a dot rule when in fact, it isn't a dot rule, yet... As you can see, I'm very angry right now and when I attempted to voice my concerns, they fell on deaf ears and they blamed me, yet I told them more than two weeks ago when I needed to be home and why. It was verified Monday, and now dm blames me? Yeah...

I'm sorry And, but because I can't do sleep study, or get the prescription to have it done for Orlando Sleep Study is the only one in Orlando that does them, I'm left with no choice here, but to clean off truck and put my notice in. If I can't drive because their doctor won't give me a dot card, although i have a two year card from my personal physician who knows me better than their doctor ever will and told it's no good to Link, I have to look for elsewhere to work. I can't drive afford to sit at home for a month because I got the run around from benefits here. Because I got the run around from the planners. I'm left with no other choice unless they miraculously can have something to make my appt on time.

What upsets me, I reminded dm Monday, Tuesday, and yesterday. She said she told the planners. Now this... That is where the problem comes in. It's not a family night to the movies, it's no a doctor appt on that affects my career here and anywhere else in the future.

I'm finished with my angry rant.

 

Looks like there may be a solution after all. Dot extended to 9/12. Appt changed to Monday with a different doctor office (good to be married to a nurse who thought to ask about cancellations). Maybe I will get this mandatory study done after all.

 

Thanks for help Anj. I had no thought of calling clinic for help and getting an extra 30 days. Now I can get the consult done for the lab can be done anytime after. There are nine locations and only two doctors that work them. Makes no sense. This is what industry now faces.

My load is brokered load to Florida. Freight is tight right now going in. Snow birds moved North, big start of hurricane season upon us, warehouses are idling for room for just in case. It should slan again at end of month.

 

I can't pick up until tomorrow morning. Docks closed at 1500 and I'm still 3 hrs away. Got ok to drop in yard so no babysitting load.
