Big thing is wheel torquing , if you have a wheel removed and reinstalled ( tire repair or mechanical work ) you need to have it retorqued by a certified retorque centre 100 Kilometers later. If you run a lot of Ontario setup an account with BENSON Tire service , the seem to have a shop evey 100 Kilometers along the 401 :)

As I understand it that isn't being enforced due to the lawsuit that has precluded the authorities from connecting to your truck to verify the settings. Or am I wrong about this?

As far as I know you still need your truck to be governed. If you won't allow them to connect to your vehicle you may be in your right but it might take you a while to convince the officer that's checking you... It also wouldn't surprise me when he finds something else wrong with your truck...

By the way, I've been checked once in Quebec since the speedlimiter is mandatory and don't know of any other driver that has ever been checked...

I have been checked on 2 occasions in Quebec as well as a few of my trucks also have been checked , all wewre PASSED :) Ontario never asked but had a few roadside inspections.

Any DD ECM can be programed to 'show' a limit is in place, but isn't.

Not that I'd know anything about that of course....I overheard someone talking.
Yea, that's it....I overheard it at a truck stop...
