Hi guys - I have a question about medical card. my medical card is 4 mo expired, and I am planning on moving to a new state (MO). (I know that if it expired my cdl is not valid - I am currently not driving commercial trucks). Should I renew my medical card in my current state or can i wait and obtain the medical card in the new state? I will be moving in less than a month, so it would have been expired about 6 months when I get to the new state.

    Any info will be appreciated.

Why don't you get it now? It's good in any state.

Of late most states require you to have an unexpired medical card to have a valid CDL or make changes. My advise would be get it now from an approved DOT medical doctor it doesn't matter which state you get it from.

Yeah, you can get it in any state. Just remember your two years start whenever you get it.
