you can call it snitching if you want, the driver did NOTHING RIGHT in this situation.!!! he needs more training, more patience. whether or not he hit my truck or damaged anything is irrelevant, the position he put himself into is completely RELEVANT! tell me this if some kid or driver drives thru your lawn are you ok with that? what if you have automatic sprinkler system how are you to know that something was damaged or not right away that was caused by 80K lbs driving across your lawn.

They won't care as long as the load made it and he didn't damage anything!!! THATS A BIG PART OF THE PROBLEM OF SENDING THESE GUYS OUT WHEN THEY ARE NOT READY!!!! sorry for the yelling but that attitude pisses me off.

I agree with your post, but I'm not sure that it's a matter of not being ready. It's just that people that would even think of doing something that stupid should not be operating a truck at all. Period. No amount of training can make up for their lack of common sense and life experience.

The only point I'm trying to make is that 1) anyone can make a mistake and get in a bad situation. If he had damaged the truck then trans am would deal with him. If he had damaged the property then the company would report it to trans am and they would take care of him. 2) Do you honestly think that trans am cares that you believe this guy is a bad driver. They probably get 100 calls a day if he's really that bad. If you email the company saying you saw this guy do something he shouldn't have but he did no damage to anything and apparently fixed it or he would still be there then don't ever get upset if someone emails your company when you make a mistake. Even veteran drivers make mistakes occasionally because when you think you're perfect then you become dangerous. I applaud you for going and trying to get the guy out of it. That was awesome but maybe you should have went on over and said something to him directly about how to better handle it next time. If he's a jerk then so be it and move on.

RD where in this post did i say in the email on here the circumstances of this situation or what i thought of the drivers to trans am??? Are your done ASSUMING what was written to trans am? I dont EVER want someone to lose a job,. No place have i said i was perfect, But i can guarandamtee you i have not put myself into any type of situation like this or damaged any property. As i stated before the driver took off before i could get there and proceeded into the DC. Its not my place to go chase him down to give him instructions after he drove off!!! thats actually a good way to get shot in this day and age.

Oh cmon. You want me to believe that you saw this, took pics, and then emailed this driver's company to ask how the weather was there. Of course you emailed details of the situation. No you shouldn't "chase" anyone down. I meant if you could've spoken to him. You said you would not have done damage to property. Did he? Maybe I missed that.

that has nothing in the world to do with otr experience. It comes from 11 years as a corrections officer. I know what snitching looks like. Hey if that's how yall roll then cool with me. You can call me out as a rookie driver but you were one once too. Be safe out there.

Well that explains it!!! GPS's are always right. We get drivers on a weekly basis pull into our WH and assume they are in the right place. No you're not dumba-- did you even look at the address. Driver probably got flustered and got in a hurry, and got himself into a bad spot. Hopefully he learned something.
