Going from Monroe, NC> Carters ville, GA. Is there a way around Atlanta, GA without going out of route by 100+ miles?

Strapped on time. I'd go early but I don't cheat if they stamp the time on the BOL. Can't wait either, got to cover 800 miles.

I could send you around on GA 20, but it's about the same time as going I-85 to I-285 to I -75....... Get there before 6: 30 and you'll make time, hit town after that and you'll sit.

i highly suggest that you ease thru by 0500 maybe 0530 (0600 may be too late, one never knows w/atlanta)or you WILL be sitting at 85/285 and then on 285.it backs up severely i85 south getting onto I285 every morning and if the rain comes thru as predicted,it will be even worse.285 will not be any better once you get on it and with rain,well-

95.5 FM gives pretty quick traffic updates. Like the other folks said, hit it early,or you will pay, even worse if it rains.
    It starts early,and stays late.

I'd skip GA and run up through TN, then drop back down on the west side and back track... but you know that super coop is open.
