I worked for usx for a while, and they were absolutely the worst. I don't know about teaming though, as I am a solo driver. Werner has nice trucks, but the pay stinks, and so do the dispatchers, treat you like crap. They hold orientation or used to 3 times a week, at several of their terminals. Always a lot of students, that never last long, and I can't blame them. Schneider is good if you can get in, also, and I know a lot of people dont' like em, but swift always treated me pretty good, and I got lots of miles, usually, but I'm not lazy either. Their weekend support shift sucks though. Although Schneiders after hours and weekends support shift sucks big time. But I still like Schneider.

I was offered a company driver job with Schneider but went with swift due to the weekend home time. Scheider was only offering OTR and not regional or dedicated. Swift gave me a dedicated run which is Monday through Friday, so I chose them. Look at all options and go with the company that you feel suits your needs best. Best of Luck to you. See you out there

I agre with others loose Werner's number. Try western express not as a life time thing but till you feel you can handle your self. Where ever you go I would suggest going flat bed. For a couple reasons 1. Your no just a wheel holder (you actually have to work) 2 you are forced to learn more about the industry. 3 you get more respect from other gear jammers. 4 you decide how your trailer is loaded not some dock jockey. Either way I'd at least try western express they have a 500 sign on bonus for north east. Good luck

All this talk about losing werners number is ironic to me. I was in a 4 week CDL class and a werner recruiter came in on our first day and told us that he could put us in a truck before we even finished our schooling. The only thing he really talked about was how their trucks were on average no older than 2 years and really decked out and that you can take your dog with you in the truck. That pretty much tells me they are looking for nothing more than a warm body to hold a steering wheel.
