Hi everybody
New here and thought I would say Hi. Another driver told me about this site and thought I would check it out.
I think it is a well run site and will inform other drivers of it. I have been looking around here for awhile now.
A little about me. I started off with J.B. Hunt and work for them for six years. I made close to fifty grand
the last four years there so had no complaints really. Had a good dispatcher. Never went over fifty, but was always
close. I was with them when they did there big pay raise, some of you may remember that. Thought I would try
something different, and went to work for Auto Truck Transport. You may have seen the trucks going down the
road piggyback. Three or four at a time. I really enjoyed that job. I was with them for five and half years.
Now I drive a city truck moving trailers from plant to outside warehouses. I work strange hours ( 12 hour shifts )
Two days on, two off, then three on one week the next week it will be two off, two on, three off.
36 hours one week, 48 the other. I love it, every other week I only work three days. Been here now for nine years.
I only put around fifty miles a day on truck, A third of that is backing up lol!
Now that I have a life, I have been doing reloading and just went from a rock chucker, (RCBS) to a dillon
To all the new guys out there that want more home time, keep your CDL clean and network. The only reason I found this
job was a friend of my brothers wife's dad retired from it. I just happened to over hear her say something about it.
Will I am yacking to much, be safe
