If you just pay the ticket...same as pleading guilty. Go to traffic court, or call the court and ask what to do to get traffic school....it will be better on your record. But if this is the only ticket...ever...and not a reckless, you won't have any problems getting into trucking.

I was being tailgated by some friends following me,she started following too close so I sped up the police through the lights and pulled out his hiding spot.she pulled over ahead of me. Officer walks to the car and ask me was she with me and she was lucky she pulled out of walking distance cause she was gonna get a ticket too.

oh ok thanks I'll give it a shot. Yea looks to me it's for speeding only.there's a list of infractions under where it shows the speed he got me and the speed posted. It says Crash:N/Prop Dam:N/Injury:N/Ser. Injury:N/Fatal:N/Aggressive Driv:N/Red Light/Stop Sign:N. Guessing "N" is for no.

Wow that would've sucked just for being with you at the time. Some cops are cool about it and some are'nt,Guess it was just too hot out today for the officer that pulled me over. He glanced at my insurance card didnt even look at my registration, told me to hold on to it bolted back to his car 5 mins later came back with my license and ticket and bolted back to the car for a/c guess he did'nt want to be out in the sun longer than he had too so just got me for speeding and went on his way...

Lawyer up. I got my first and only speeding ticket like a month after getting my CDL in Florida back in 07. Got tagged doing 92 in a 70 on I-75 in Naples. Needles to say it was rough getting a job after that. But its one ticket, so fight it.

Don't waste anytime getting this fixed. It will usually take about 30 days for this information to post to your MVR.

    Take Care.

if your record is clean. you might be able to do traffic school for a first time offense only. still pay the fine. but ticket stays off the record.

otherwise, you'll have to fight it. most companies frown at anything over 15+. and some don't even like 10+.

the main thing to think about, is that courts don't really care about your record. they just want your money.

i paid $450 plus $650 for lawyer. the ticket was changed to logbook violation. and no record of it happening. csa or dmv
