You know what really grinds my gears? No seriously. I like loud noises. Quietness makes it hard for me to sleep. Check if I can sleep through rocket attacks and mortars! A reefer don't bug me
So I parked at the far quiet end of the truckstop.....

I always enjoyed parking places that were not a truck stop. I had several parking places around the country I frequented, and actually got to know people around them, it was pretty cool.
One of them was a long the snake river in the Idaho pan handle, I'd leave the door on my sleeper open and the windows down and just let the fresh air roll through. That with the sound of the river and the occasional traffic rolling by, it was very soothing and relaxing. -
i cant believe that i just wasted the time it took to read this thread....

That's because the unity drivers had in the 70s is gone. Back in those times trucks could just stop moving freight and they get their wages increased or get treated better. I really hate at-will employment, it encourages that mentality. My batteries die, and I need a jump and no driver has time to help, not even the bozos in my own company is willing to stop. I'd help out someone in need, but when I need help I get the middle finger, sometimes two.aiwiron Thanks this.

Parked on a little pull out of highway 9 near Gruffey Colorado last night and I only heard 1 car go by all night, so peiceful and quite and the full moon was awesome. I like places like that, I don't even put up the curtains and when ya got to go just walk about 20 feet and there's a big old tree to water
Everett, aiwiron and VisionLogistics Thank this. -

They should come up with a whiny award on here. It would take hours to find even a daily whiner! So many people just complaining over nothing. You're a trucker. It's loud, slow, and nerve wracking at times, but there is nothing you can't fix by driving at different times or parking it somewhere else. Glad I run odd hours, early morning if my load allows it. I don't have to worry about half this crap. Lots almost always half empty whether I'm coming or going...

I just called a Waaaaaambulance.
Everett and corneileous Thank this.
